Jane was assigned by the King to be one of Anne Boleyn’s lady-in-waiting when he got bored with Anne and became less interested with her for failing to produce an heir. The King eventually tried to seduce her but Jane played the modesty card and had the King impressed. Henry then started orchestrating Anne’s arrest for adultery. He and Jane became engaged on the day of Anne’s execution and were married days later.
