The Tudors is a fictional television series which is created by Michael Hirst. The show is set during the reign of Henry VIII, the English Monarch during the Tudor Dynasty.

The show revolves around the chronicles during the period of Henry VIII, who is known to be a very effective King during his reign. Henry VIII’s reign has been tested by a lot of conflicts, both international and political conflicts that intrigue his court. As part of the customs of royal families, Henry VIII is pressured to have a son who will be hi successor. He married Katherine of Aragon, however Henry VIII refused to have a child to her but chooses Anne Boylen instead. Henry VIII has string of affairs which bore one illegitimate child but later on died.
As the show progress, different aspects of the life of Henry VIII were featured. The show features Henry VIII’s life as the head of the Church of England after leaving the Catholic church as his reaction to the refusal of the church to grant his divorce from Katherine. Also, Henry VIII’s marriage to Jane Seymour and Anne of Cleves is featured as well as the birth of his son, Edward VI.
